Are you ready to take part in one of the most scenic running events on Long Island? The Suffolk County Marathon is a great opportunity for athletes to challenge themselves and have fun at the same time. Volunteers can also get involved in a variety of ways, from helping out at the Expo to aiding with registration on race day. The marathon offers participants the chance to take part in two races over two days - a 10K and 5K race, a 13.1-mile half marathon and a 5K race, or a 26.2-mile marathon and a 5K race. All you need to do is register your miles each day and post your results on the Suffolk County Marathon virtual event page on Facebook. After the races on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd, the Suffolk County Health Center will host Freedom Fest - an outdoor festival with live music and entertainment, crafts, local artisans and businesses, activities for kids, local food and craft beer.
This is also a great opportunity for businesses to reach new customers, increase brand recognition, and encourage repeat visits to Suffolk County.
